Post: The Spirit is Moving, and So are We!

Yesterday, we celebrated Pentecost and were reminded that the movement of the Holy Spirit isn’t just a moment in history—it’s a movement of the heart. At Grace UCC in Allentown, we are a Christ-centered, Spirit-led congregation and we celebrated Pentecost with joy, music, prayer, and an invitation to dream boldly.

Scripture tells us that on the day of Pentecost, “they were all together in one place” (Acts 2:1), and the Holy Spirit came like wind and flame. At Grace, we believe that same Spirit is still moving—through us, among us, and beyond us.

During worship, we invited everyone—members, friends, guests—to write down their hopes, dreams, and visions for the future of Grace Church. We know the Spirit is at work in every voice, from the youngest to the oldest. We sang songs of the Spirit, listened for God’s word, and even reflected and worshiped through popular music based on Psalm 40. Larry closed the service with a rousing postlude that reminded us: the life of faith is meant to be lived with energy, joy, and trust.
